I'm having a gold colored l discharge a week before my period is due... what is it?

It's not thick or a weird texture at all... its just there when I wipe. I haven't had any symptoms of my period coming except for a couple of very very tiny l twinges. Normally I get bad bad cramps in my sides and l area. Anyways, I had a slight gold color discharge yesterday with one small blood clot. And now its just a barely noticeable gold stain almost not there. Period is not due till the 14th. Just curious as to what it is or might be?
