Is it true that Poland has agreed to a new more advanced missile shield program?

I thought that the US betrayed the Polish government regarding the abolishment of the previous missile shield. Instead it looks like they are just replacing and old antiquated system with a new advanced system. I actually believed the BS I was reading here regarding the Obama administration abandonment of one of our Nato partners. Poland's prime minister said his country was ready to participate in the Obama administration's revamped plan for a U.S. missile defense shield in Europe.
